Executive function coaching for students who are smart — but stuck.

You've become the alarm clock, the planner, and the homework police, and things still slip. It's not laziness, and it's not you. It's executive function, and it can be coached.

One-to-one coaching for students with ADHD, autism, 504s and IEPs — and bright kids with no diagnosis who just can't get started. Online, nationwide.

Sound familiar

You already know the drill by heart.

On our calls, parents describe the same exhausting loop — almost word for word.

You're the reminder system

The chart taped to the mirror. The third text before lunch. Did she submit it, or didn't she. The moment you stop prompting, it stops happening.

Finished the work, never turned it in

Zeros that aren't about ability. Work done at the last minute, submitted late, or "I thought I finished it." The grade doesn't match the kid.

The slippery slope

Once I've dropped the ball, it's way harder to pick it up. Overwhelm turns into avoidance, avoidance turns into shame, and it snowballs.

You've tried everything

Pomodoro timers. Planners. To-do lists. Shared calendars. Alarms. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Nothing sticks on its own.

"I'm doing good, mom"

You're investing real money and you can't see inside it. You want your teen independent, and when it doesn't happen, everything else lags too.

You just want them back

I want to get back to who I actually am as a student. They're capable and they know it, which makes being stuck even more painful for everyone.

The real reason

It's not that they won't. It's that no one taught them how to start.

Task initiation, planning, prioritizing, time management, working memory, and keeping track of it all — these are executive function skills. Bright students, especially with ADHD or autism, can be years behind here while being years ahead everywhere else. These are skills, and skills can be built.

Overwhelm

The task feels too big to touch, so it gets pushed off.

Avoidance

"Just open the computer." But feeling behind makes starting harder.

Shame

The zero comes back around, and the cycle digs in deeper.

We're not here to fix your kid. We're here to build the skills they'll use for the rest of their life.

The difference

Tutoring, therapy, and executive function coaching are not the same thing.

Most families we talk to have already tried at least one of the other two. They help. They're just built for a different problem.

The coaching year

Your year, mapped.

A 20-week intensive, a guided transition, and a community that runs all twelve months. Coaching that steps back on purpose, so your student steps up.

Months 1–5

Intensive

Sixteen weekly one-to-one sessions and four family team meetings — the 20-week core of the program. Baseline assessment, one priority goal, self-advocacy, and daily systems with weekly proof of work.

Weekly coaching

Months 6–9

Transition

Eight twice-monthly sessions as independence grows. Your student takes the wheel and the coach moves into the passenger seat, on purpose.

Twice-monthly coaching

Months 10–12

Sustaining

Community, accountability, and your coach still in reach, with the systems running on their own. This is the part most programs skip.

A week in the community

Coaching is one hour. The other six days are where it falls apart.

That's the gap community closes. Five live sessions every week, run by our coaches, that your student can drop into as often as they need — on top of their one-to-one time.

Monday

5:00 – 6:00 pm PT

Plan your week

Everything due this week goes on the calendar before the week starts, with a coach walking through it live.

Tuesday

5:00 – 6:00 pm PT

Accountability session

Cameras on, work open, timer running. Body doubling that makes starting the hard thing feel possible.

Wednesday

5:00 – 5:30 pm PT

Interest club

Thirty minutes on what they actually care about. Belonging is what keeps students showing up to the rest.

Thursday

5:00 – 6:00 pm PT

Accountability session

A second working block before the week closes, for the assignment that's been pushed since Monday.

Friday

2:00 – 3:00 pm PT

Wrap up your week

What got done, what didn't, what's carrying into next week. Nothing rolls into the weekend unnoticed.

Plus their one-to-one coaching session And direct messaging with their coach between everything else.

Why the model matters

Most executive function coaching is one hour a week, and then silence.

A good coach working alone can only do so much. The week is where students lose the thread — and an hourly model has nothing in it for the week.

  • Already tried tutoring or therapyHelpful, and not built to fix the getting-it-done part.
See if it's a fit

Before you book

The questions parents ask us most.

What is an executive function coach?

An executive function coach works one-to-one with a student on the skills behind getting schoolwork done: starting tasks, planning ahead, prioritizing, managing time, tracking assignments, and following through. A tutor teaches the content. A coach builds the system your student uses to act on it — and practices that system with them week after week until it runs without prompting.

Why not just hire a coach by the hour?

You can, and some students do fine that way. The limit is that an hourly coach is present for one hour and absent for the other hundred and sixty-seven. Most students don't lose the thread during the session — they lose it on Tuesday night with four things due Friday. That's why community runs all twelve months alongside the one-to-one work: five live coach-run sessions every week that your student can drop into as often as they need, and direct messaging with their coach in between.

Isn't this just tutoring with a different name?

No. A tutor explains the material. An EF coach builds the system for getting it done: starting tasks, tracking assignments, planning ahead, and turning work in on time. Most of our families already know the content isn't the problem.

Is coaching online, or do we need someone near us?

All coaching is online, by video, which means your match is based on fit rather than zip code. It also means sessions happen where the work actually happens — with your student's laptop open and their portals in front of them, not in a room away from their real setup.

My teen resists help. Will they even engage?

This is exactly why fit matters so much. Kids engage completely differently with a coach they connect with, which is the whole point of our matching process. We also move forward only when your student is genuinely on board, because their buy-in is what makes the change last.

How will I actually see whether it's working?

You won't be left with "I'm doing good, mom." You get session notes after every session, weekly parent updates through the parent portal, four family team meetings with the grade portal open, and a pre- and post-program executive function assessment that measures the change rather than assuming it.

My child has ADHD, autism, or an IEP. Is that a fit?

Yes, and it's the heart of what we do. Executive function challenges are common with ADHD and autism. Our coaching meets your student where they are and builds on the strengths they already have, rather than treating them as a problem to fix. We'll also review an existing neuropsych, IEP, or school report before coaching starts, and coordinate with your other providers.

What if the coach isn't the right match?

Fit comes first. We match thoughtfully on personality and goals, and if the connection isn't there, you get a free rematch. A coach your student actually likes is non-negotiable for us — it's what makes everything else work.

What ages do you work with?

Middle school, high school, and college students. The work looks different at each stage — a seventh grader learning to record assignments is a different project from a sophomore managing four syllabi and no daily structure — but the underlying skills are the same.

What do you ask of us?

That your student attends each session on time and ready to work, with their portals open. That parents show up to all four family team meetings. That everyone stays open to trying new strategies, including the uncomfortable ones. And that you start your intensive within 30 days of enrolling and use all your sessions within the twelve months — we'll help you stay on pace.
